According to Michelle Hoover Tarleton, owner of Charleston Fashion Week favorite, Tres Carmen Boutique, life has a way of coming full circle.
“Ever since we opened our flagship store on Folly Road we originally looked on Kiawah but eventually felt James Island would be more of a convenient start,” Tarleton explained.
Aesthetically, the Kiawah location has a different look than the flagship, with its open floor plan, cool year around beach vibe and use of chic, clean lines as a backdrop for colorful garments; it’s clear a different vision was in mind.
Shoppers will notice that along with some of the staple brands like Taxidermy and Joie Tres Carmen Kiawah will carry designers with a little higher price point as well, as an opportunity to diversify their brand.
“I’ve planned a trip to Soho, the fashion district in New York, to find new brands and designers. I’m especially excited about the denim we’re using; it’s a quality textile that gives, but still bounces back after a few wears and washes,” Tarleton raved.
August 13th is the official grand opening. Michelle and the ladies at Tres Carmen Boutique encourage everyone to come out and see the new addition for themselves (and maybe do a little shopping as well).
