Southern Protocol Boutique Grand Opening

Southern Protocol Boutique Grand Opening

Lizz Akerman, founder of Southern Protocol and boutique co-owner, has been planning chic, southern soirées since 2003. After successfully conquering the wedding and event planning business in Charleston and becoming one of the most highly sought after planners in the south, she still wished to take the SoPro brand to the next level. Longtime friend, Michelle Miller, always had an interest in opening a boutique and one night {probably over some bubbly} the idea just clicked and the vision for Southern Protocol Boutique was born!

When I first heard the news that Southern Protocol was going to be opening a bridal boutique, I knew it would be fabulous, but I don’t think I was prepared for quite HOW fabulous! Walking into the store for the first time, the final product just absolutely took my breath away. Adorned in all things girly and gold, the shop decor is the perfect combination of classic and glamorous. Have I mentioned, even the floors have a hint of gold glitter?

You first walk into the main boutique area with gorgeous gowns lining the walls and tables filled with everything from jewelry and bridal accessories to stationary and hostess goodies. That’s right, SoPro Boutique isn’t just for brides! With one of the largest (read: entire wall) selections of Kate Spade jewelry, accessories and home goods in Charleston, you’re sure to be shopping with these ladies long after you say “I do!” This is the perfect, pretty little store to pop into and grab a gift for a girlfriend or hostess! Bonus- there’s parking right out front, so you actually can “pop in” and out.

As you walk further into the beautiful shop, you will find two massive {gold framed, of course} mirrors and sky-high curtains for a dressing area. It will make for a special and dramatic reveal of the bride-to-be for her loved ones, waiting behind the curtains for that very moment! The stunning gowns at Southern Protocol Boutique are sure to sweep a bride and her posse right off their feet. Carrying designers such as Carrol Hannah, Lula Kate, Ivy & Aster and Nicole Miller, there is something for every bride. They also carry a fabulous selection of party dresses, perfect for rehearsal dinner, bachelorette, bridal shower or even a non-wedding event.

The only thing they won’t do at the Southern Protocol Boutique, is plan your wedding for you. Oh, wait, they do that too! Towards the back of the shop is the meeting area, that is no less fabulous than the rest of the store. It’s an absolutely perfect environment to take on an important wedding planning meeting and is sure to give you some added inspiration for your big day. Not only are these ladies stylish, but they’re sassy and a whole lot of fun! The visual atmosphere is wonderful, but the assistance and company of these brilliant, sweet and chic women, whether it be for finding your gown, planning your wedding or both, is really the icing on the {wedding} cake!

Join the ladies of Southern Protocol Boutique this Second Sunday afternoon from 1-5 pm at 164 Market Corner (Next to Pure Barre Charleston) for the Grand Opening! They welcome “all who shop and love pretty things.” Trust me, you won’t want to miss this!!
