The Ritz Carlton Spa, Charlotte’s Salt Vault is A Holiday Must

Though the Holiday Season is a merry time of year, it can also be a source of stress and anxiety. Trying to remember holiday gifts for everyone, trying to decide which of the 50 holiday invites you’ll be able to accept and in general, just trying to finish the year on a good note.  In the midst of the hustle and bustle, remember that self-care has to always remain a priority.

Inside the Salt Vault at The Ritz Carlton Spa, Charlotte

The Ritz Carlton Spa, Charlotte just unveiled their new treatment room, a Salt Vault sanctuary in Charlotte. Salt chambers are among the most sought-after new wellness destinations in the U.S., and the Salt Vault presents this experience with an added element of Ritz-Carlton luxury.  We recently took a tour of their new wellness offering and it’s worth every moment spent inside.

While you relax in the Vault, fine, Pink Himalayan Salt is dispersed into the environment in invisible, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial dry particles. From fighting allergies and colds to enhancing skin and anti-aging abilities, this industry-leading halotherapy experience is provided at a comfortable room temperature, with a lounging bench available to provide the ultimate in relaxation.

For men or women treatment guests wishing to benefit from halotherapy’s powers without adding time to their visit, the spa has also placed two Himalayan Salt towers in its co-ed Relaxation Lounge — one of the most popular gathering spots in the hotel’s two-story penthouse spa.

If you’re short on time and a full day of relaxation won’t fit into your schedule, make an appointment for a manicure/pedicure treatment. Part salon service, part spa service, your manicurist will take her time to pamper your fingers, toes, arms, and legs with various luxury treatments.  Try the honey and chocolate scrub.  You may walk in feeling like a creature from The Walking Dead but the treatment will revitalize, energize and refresh your body and spirit in a little over an hour.

The spa is open from noon to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.Friday through Sunday. For further information, visit www.ritzcarlton.com/charlotte, or engage directly with the hotel at https://www.facebook.com/ritzcarltoncharlotte.
