Mimi Tran, will be the lead designer for the annual NYFW fundraising gala, Fashion + Fun & Pop by designer Richie Rich. The event is put on by the Carol Galvin Foundation, an organization fundraising for moms with cancer in need of financial support, and it will be promoted every 2 minutes for 15 seconds on the Thomson Reuters Jumbotron in Times Square, highlighting Mimi Tran’s logo and headshot. Mimi will be showcasing 20 pieces from her latest collection; featuring an assortment of designs from her SS18 evening wear line. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 12 beginning at 5:00 pm at the PlayStation Theaters and scheduled performances include hit artists Meredith O’Connor and Aaron Carter during the runway show. Additionally, Kelly Ripa, Jennifer Connelly, and Victoria Summer are expected to appear, as well as supportive mothers and families battling cancer.
“I’m extremely thrilled to be coming together to support a cause that is so dear to me,” says Tran. “As a woman, it is extremely important for me to support and empower other women, especially those battling cancer.”
