One of our favorite annual events is back for it’s 7th year of giving in style! The Red Pump Red Tie Affair returns, this time to a new location in Uptown Charlotte.
Known as one of the most stylish philanthropic events of the year, the Red Pump Red Tie Affair raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. The affair also honors a prominent female leader for her individual efforts to raise awareness and education in the community with the coveted “Red Pump” Award. The stylish soiree will include live entertainment, cocktail reception with a silent auction, runway show and more.
The event is produced by Jameka Whitten and her team at JSW Media Group. Whitten is going to be honored this December by Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) because of her work with Red Pump in Charlotte.
This year’s event is hosted by the legendary Hip Hop icon Edward “Special Ed” Archer and Media Personality Kendra James. Other returning highlights include the silent auction, social media lounge (sponsored by National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Queen City Metropolitan Chapter) and the highly anticipated fashion show featuring emerging designers and Charlotte boutiques.
