A Guide to Perfect Holiday Accessories

A Guide to Perfect Holiday Accessories

Another party invite slipped under your door. “What am I going to wear?” you ask yourself as you stare into your “empty” closet. Then you remember: there, still pristine in its garment bag hanging in-between last season’s floral midi-skirt and your worn-out go-to LBD is the outfit that you found while rushing the sales on Black Friday. You’ve got it! It’s a cocktail dress with the perfect combination of class and charm. Or maybe it’s the wonderfully soft cashmere sweater dress or the professionally tailed ‘cigarette’ pant that ends right at the ankle. Whatever it is, it’s still exciting to know that for once you’re prepared! Or are you… (dark and ominous music). Ok, so maybe it isn’t that dramatic, but it still causes you some distress as you suddenly realize that you forgot to buy anything to wear with it. You have no accessories (none that work anyway) and the shoes that you have are all wrong. Now, before you start rushing back to the mall, here are a few ideas for add-ons that will take your outfit to a whole new level. It’s the holidays after all, even the trees are accessorizing.

A statement necklace, like this Tiered Baguette Stone Bib Necklace will certainly have everyone coveting your ensemble.

Add some sparkle with a beaded Box Clutch.

Step up the glamour and turn heads with a jeweled heel.

If you prefer a boot to a heel, try one with a punch of color like Jeffrey Campbell’s’ Lynked Waved Pony Hair Boot. Earn extra points for the non-traditional heel.

Go for a cuffed earring this holiday season. Pick a pair like these Baguette Crystal Cuffs to stay on trend.

Add a little charm with a rhinestone and beaded bracelet. Don’t be afraid to stack them. When it comes to bracelets it’s the more the merrier, especially if they are your only accessory.

Show off your waist with a skinny belt.

Nothing completes your cocktail attire better than a cocktail ring. You’ll make one bold statement every time you take a sip from your festive…you guessed it; cocktail!
