Fashion Freestyle Returns With The Breakin’ Convention October 1

Get ready, Charlotte! Breakin’ Convention, the renowned international festival of hip hop dance, invades the Queen City this October.  Direct from London’s Sadler’s Wells theatre, the festival will feature performances by hip hop stars from around the globe and the local community. This two-day celebration of hip hop culture, presented by Blumenthal Performing Arts, will feature Friday and Saturday night shows at the Knight Theater showcasing some of the world’s great hip hop stars.

On Saturday Oct 1, Fashion Freestyle returns for it’s second season during the Breakin’ Convention’s Street Jam –  a FREE festival at Spirit Square.  Free activities and performances for the whole family include: live DJs, workshops, fashion presentations, graffiti, and other elements of hip hop culture.

Fashion Freestyle boasts an innovative fashion show with live performances by Carolina based musicians.  The show begins with a pre-event performance by the award winning With These Handz DJ Academy at 2 p.m. followed by opening performances by The Dance District and Aftrmath.
