When it comes to being fashionable in a suit, the hot summer temperatures can make it difficult to balance being dapper with being comfortable. The key is knowing what to wear and how to make small changes to your outfit to go from sweating to being stylish. Check out these awesome tips to learn how to wear a suit in the sweltering summer season.
Loose the tie!
Unless it is a must-have for an event just get rid of the tie! Go with keeping the first one or two buttons of your shirt undone. Some things you can do to still add a bit of interest to your suit and the entire look is to wear a patterned pocket square, or try your hand at wearing an ascot! It is traditionally a less formal way of wearing neckwear in warm weather.
Unlined and Linen Suits
These suits are much more comfortable to wear because there is less fabric to “weigh” down the person wearing it. Also, because it is a lighter material it allows for more air flow and circulation around the body keeping the wearer feeling cooler.
Ok, so in my opinion men should ALWAYS wear socks with their dress shoes (so as not to have excessive sweat go into the inside of the shoe which can damage the shoe as well as contribute to athletes foot). So what do you do? You grab those no show socks and not only look stylish but comfortable at the same time.
Trade the jacket for a vest
Who said you always have to wear a jacket? Try just wearing the trousers and vest from your suit to create a stylish but relaxed look. Mix your vests with different trousers to make a truly individualized statement.
With the weather getting warm use these tips and create a dapper ensemble that you can not only feel comfortable in but feel confident in as well!
