Emerge Fashion Show 2014

Now in its fourth year, Emerge brings together leading local designers to show their new styles on the runway, along with emerging designers showcasing their work. The annual runway exhibition is created and produced by local fashion designers, with proceeds benefiting Band Together of NC. Last night, this year’s featured designers Dani Oliva, Julkee, and Leluna Star, came together with emerging designers LeNeva, Aesthetica, and MG: Soli De Gloria, at The Stockroom in Downtown Raleigh for a night of Giving in STYLE.

This year, for the first time, the organization held an Emerging Designer Competition. The mission is to provide a platform for up-and-coming local designers to showcase their work and talent on the runway. The top 3 finalists showed 5 looks from their Spring/Fall 2014 collections. During the competition, the designers’ looks were judged on certain criteria by a panel of industry experts. The winner of the Emerging Designer Competition, Marian Gibson received a $300 scholarship with her debut collection, Redemption, presenting women’s wear inspired by 1950’s STYLE.

The after party was held at Zinda immediately following the show.
