Red Carpet Recap: #CSTYLELIVE Panel’s Best and Worst Dressed [Video + Pics]
Last night over 1 million impressions were made thanks to your tweets and the Fashion & Style panelists of our first Carolina STYLE LIVE (#CSTYLELIVE) Twitter party and Google Hangout.
The #CSTYLELIVE panel shared their commentary of the Golden Globes Red Carpet looks on Twitter as the stars arrived on the red carpet. Editor-in-Chief Brie Wright watched from the Charlotte, NC area and was joined virtually by One Chic Mama’s CEO Mary Michele in Raleigh, NC; Charleston Fashion Week Creator and Style Public Founder Ayoka Lucas in Charleston, SC; B Soup Fashion Blogger Bethany Diffey in Orlando, FL; and Wardrobe Stylist and Creator of Charleston Shop Curator Andrea Serrano in Charleston, SC.
The panel held no punches during this year’s recap of the Golden Globes red carpet, even naming a mom-to-be among one of those who could use some improvement. The stars that rocked the red carpet were Margot Robbie in Gucci, Cate Blanchett in Armani and the women who stole the show, the 12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren
The Men of STYLE did not disappoint as they made their dashing appearances on the carpet. The best dressed men of the evening (outside of Kevin Spacey who seems to have hidden from a full length snapshot for the evening) are Idris Elba in Gucci, Usher in Calvin Klein Collection, Bradley Cooper in Tom Ford.
Maternity style was in full bloom on the red carpet. Two glowing gals got it right, the other blushing beauty, not so much. Olivia Wilde looked great in Gucci and Kerry Washington beamed in Balenciaga. Though we adore Drew Barrymore, her Monique Lhuillier gown was simply not the best choice for this beautiful mom-to-be.
Unfortunately, as in Barrymore’s case, everyone can’t make the best dressed list and rock the red carpet. The red carpet wrecks of the evening were Hayden Panettiere in Tom Ford, Lena Dunham in Zac Posen and Julia Roberts in Dolce & Gabana. Yikes!
Who do you think rocked the red carpet? Who wrecked it? Share your picks on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+ using the hashtag #CSTYLELIVE.
