Holiday Wish List: Editor’s Pick

By  |

Forget being subtle, one of the best parts of being a STYLE Editor is that I get to publish my Christmas wish list. Still stumped on what to get the stylista in your life? Look no further, I have some great gift ideas that’ll have your fashion aficionado beaming with holiday joy!

What better way to give this holiday season than to support your own community? There is no shortage of local creatives and talent right here in North Carolina. From handcrafted fashions, and one-of-a-kind jewelry, to locally brewed beers, and much more, there’s something for everyone in our home state. So why not support local this holiday season?

Leggings from Casey Crespo Designs:

Most famous for her sexy and comfortable leggings, Casey Crespo designs practical yet stylish clothes. Her brand’s STYLE incorporates clean, modern lines, a monochromatic color palette, and geometric prints. The Wilmington based designer put her clients at the forefront of the design process, by creating clothes that are flattering, and help you to exude your feminine confidence. Where possible, the young designer uses eco-friendly knits and has also been working with micro modal – a fabric made from the pulp of Beech Wood Trees.

Bath Soaps from Greenwich Bay Trading Co:

I have always been an advocate of clean living and natural products. This was amplified when I found out that I was pregnant back in July. Raleigh based Greenwich Bay Trading Co’s soaps have become an essential part of my beauty routine. I typically use the Moroccan scented luxurious spa soap, enriched with shea butter, cocoa butter, fresh ginger, golden argan oil, and white kaolin clay. My favorite from their 2013 Holiday Collection is the Cranberry Chestnut, a fruity and festive choice that matches the Christmas cheer.

Available locally at NOFO @ The Pig [2014 Fairview Road, Raleigh NC 27608]

Nail Polish from Polish & Co.:

Polish & Co.’s philosophy and mission is simple: create a product that is completely free of harmful ingredients and chemicals. Free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Parabens that are found in typical nail polish brands, the Greensboro based brand has successfully created a polish that is as beautiful to wear, as it is safe. The Holiday 2013 collection pays homage to Pantone’s Colors for Fall/Winter 2013, but there is no shortage of colors for every palette and season.
