YAM is transforming the museum’s atrium into a vintage night life of Jazz, complimentary bites, access to it’s unique galleries including the Worlds fairs Exhibition, and a luxury silent auction. A live performance by one of Charlotte’s-based band Cookie and Prohibition-era cocktails designed by sponsor Rémy Martin V and Cointreau. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. and carry on until 11:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8 at Levine Center for the Arts, 500 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Followed by this year’s official Fall Ball After-party sponsor, Bubbles.

The events proceeds will be used to support Bearing Witness: The New York Photo League and Sonia Handelman Meyer, a photography exhibition scheduled to open at Mint Museum Randolph on November 24, 2013. Meyer, was a former photographer of Photo League in 1943-1951 until it was disband due to anti-liberal social and political injustice of the time. After moving to Charlotte, NC, her work has been rediscovered and for the first time the experiences captured by the moment are the focus of a major museum exhibition.

The Young Affiliates of the Mint is a group of diverse young professionals who promote and support The Mint Museum through social, educational, leadership, and fundraising activities and events. Established in 1990, the Young Affiliates is a social arts organization for young professionals in the Charlotte area.
