Runway Recap : Style Night Out 2013
Charlotte was in full swing as locals flocked to Morrison Shopping Center to celebrate the 4th annual Style Night Out. This glamorous event, which features local boutiques throughout Charlotte, NC was all made possible thanks to the fabulous Effie Loukas. Effie’s vision to create a “Fashion Night Out” theme has brought Charlottean’s together one night a year to celebrate the best of the best and to help get the buzz going to shop LOCAL. It’s so important to remember that these are all independent business owners and with Effie being an owner of the spectacular Lotus boutique she knew exactly how to create the hype that Charlotte needed. Charlotte continues to grow and with events like this it can only go up from here!
The show was organized so that each boutique presenting walked with their appropriate neighborhood, nine in total. I thought this was a brilliant idea because it allowed the audience to get to know each neighborhood a little better and we are all now aware of where each boutique is located. Joy Randall of Flawless Make up Art was the Beauty Director for the event.
Trends that were popular walking down the runway included: leather, fur, statement necklaces, layering, winter white, black, army green pants, mustard jackets and pants, monotone colors, animal print, stripes, floppy hats, and jump suits.
Each boutique that walked down the runway took such pride in showcasing their looks and the best part is we can all hit the town tomorrow and pick these pieces up!
All and all this was a wonderful evening with so much passion and love behind it as well as a great cause; proceeds will be going to support Carolina Breast Friends.
Charlotte is turning into quite the fashion capital and it’s no wonder why when we have stylish local business owners that want to show off our beautiful city!
