It’s pop up shop meets home & decor trunk show. Charlotte based online furniture retailers and interior design aficionados Kim “elle” Loring and Ariene “bae” Bethea created Elle & Bea, out of a desire to open their own brick and mortar boutique. The duo will hosts quarterly pop-up events featuring high-end vintage furniture, home decor, art and accessories curated by local vendors and created by local artisans.
Elle & Bae’s first pop-up event launches Saturday, September 14th in South End Charlotte at the Charlotte Trolley Museum. Beginning at 10 a.m. guests can meet and shop with Dressing Rooms Interiors, Bird Dog Vintage, Legere Creativ, Marge & Rudy, Reinvented Charlotte, Style by Shannon Martin and VaVaVintage Furniture. Donations will also be collected for the featured Charity, Florence Crittendon . The event is sponsored by Mid Century Salvage.
Elle & Bae’s pop-up events are a short-term retail space – similar to a trunk show – that will feature furniture with midcentury modern, french provencial and hollywood regency influences. Some pieces may be restored to their original condition; others may have been refinished with a modern twist. Guests will also find home decor, lighting, textiles (such as pillows and drapes), art jewelry, handmade purses, among other commodities. Many of the vendors participating strictly sell online, so this is a unique opportunity to see their goods in person.
