Being nominated by a group of your peers as an influence and leader in your community is definitely a reason to celebrate, and we did just that on Friday, May 31st which marked the 2nd annual Triangle’s 25 Most Stylish People event. The celebration took place at the dynamic American Institute of Architects Center for Architecture and Design (14 E. Peace St. Downtown Raleigh) www.cfadnc.org
The 25 Most Stylish Event celebrated tastemakers in the fashion, business, entertainment and non-profit industries who are making a real impact in the Triangle. The 8 week voting period launches in February at STYLE’s 25 MS Opening Nominations Ceremony and runs through April. 85 of the Triangle’s community leaders were nominated with over 500 votes in 2013, setting a record for STYLE Media, LLC.
The event featured a fashion presentation from last year’s 25MS recipient, Kendra Leonard with her private label Kendra Michelle available at The Art of Style boutique, with beauty styling provided by Demetra Angelis of Atomic Salon 2.
Production assistance was provided by Amanda Manares, of Evince Planning|Consulting who partnered with local production supply company A Special Event. The setting provided for a fashion forward scene, as SPCLGST deejayed while guests enjoyed a photography exhibit by Jason Rizzo of Raleigh Static. Guests enjoyed an open bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by NOFO at the Pig, Bia Restaurant, and Dos Taquitos XOCO.
The highlight of the evening was the introduction by founder and Editor-in-Chief, Bridgette West. Bridgette encouraged the Triangle to utilize the magazine as a means of connecting the fashion and lifestyle communities, and showcasing the many talents living in the Carolinas. Bridgette thanked the contributors and Editors of the magazine, and she and Executive Editor, Amanda Manares made the official announcement of the 25 Most Stylish People of 2013.
