Artsplosure is a full weekend of the art market showcasing hundreds of artist and their work! Fun for the whole family and the kids especially at Kidsplosure, with great food vendors, and music in the park. Artsplosure’s mission is to produce high quality annual festivals that celebrate excellence in the performing and visual arts; to promote and bring recognition to national, regional, and local artists; and to bring artists and the larger community together to improve the quality of life and cultural environment.

It’s time for another seasonal clothing swap where you can unload your no-longer-wanted items and load up on new-to-you goodies! Women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and accessories may be brought but not housewares. Due to limited space, only the first 70 people will be admitted. So plan to be there early!! There is a $10 participation fee.

Come out for a night full of fashion, fun, and festivities as the Art of Style boutique hosts its bi-annual charity fashion show benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Mix and mingle with other fashion lovers while snacking on treats, sipping wine and beer, and participating in the live and silent auctions taking place before, during, and after the runway show!! Come watch the fabulous summer lines grace the runway over water while jamming out to the sounds of the DJs, and give in STYLE. Tickets are $10 advance purchase and $20 at the door.

Location: Levine Center for the Arts
Charlotte’s premier cultural destination, Levine Center for the Arts, is celebrating the Association of Art Museum Directors’ (AAMD) Art Museum Day 2013 by offering “pay what you wish” admission to museum visitors. Three of the cultural institutions at the South Tryon Street campus, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, and Mint Museum Uptown, are joining forces to offer visitors an unparalleled arts experience. The Mint Museum is also offering “pay what you wish” admission at its other location, Mint Museum Randolph. Normal admission is $8 each to the Bechtler and Gantt Center and $10 to the Mint, or a Levine Center for the Arts joint admission pass is available for $20.
