With Milan Fashion Week wrapping up and Parisians preparing to kick off their week of runway shows, fashion enthusiasts are looking forward to Spring 2013. As select designers showcase their men’s collections for next year, we’re going to take you back to January when Milan and Paris played host to and introduced us to the trends for Fall/Winter 2012-2013.
Plaid pants, tweed suits, and scarves, adorned many of the runway shows, with many designers bringing back the preppy-American look. Mixing and matching of fabrics is encouraged, but the lines are definitely sleek and clean cut. Along with the trend it’s all about the heavy side part.
As always, there are variations to the trend, with some preferring to wear the side-part look with some rock overtones. For example, the side part with a faded undercut, or a textured layers. Whatever the case, make sure you have your favorite of gel or pomade at the ready! We recommend REDKEN for Men, Maneuver Working Wax; a molding product with a strong hold for versatile looks, and it has the bonus of having a subtle masculine scent.
For those who prefer a more modest mane, don’t fret, you can easily get the preppy look with a few accessories such as a plaid scarf, or black rimmed glasses.
