Trends: Rodarte Highlights Texture, Fall 2012

If you haven’t heard of the design collection ‘Rodarte,’ then you need to google them immediately. Founded in LA in 2005, by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Rodarte has had an unbelievably impressive career. The company’s worksheet includes: The Cooper-Hewitt, Vogue Magazine, The New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily and many, many more impressive names.

If you love the highly textural work of the Mulleavy sisters, then look into the design collections of Lanvin. These two brands are similar in their uses of texture, natural tones/materials, and draping techniques.

Below: Rodarte‘s Fall 2012 collection highlights.

Below: These Rodarte shoes are just one of many styles displayed in their Fall line. That’s a plexiglass heel filled with stacked, colored, sand.
