Trends: Right to BARE Arms

A superb selection to transition into your fall wardrobe is the off-the-shoulder top or dress. Many notable designer’s Fall collections are full of these stunning silhouettes, because partially and fully exposed shoulders have an alluring appeal.

Below:  Easy, breezy, and beautiful is exactly how you’ll look and feel in this top by Boulee. The sleeve hem starts below the bust line; creating a whimsical aura. This specific top is styled with a mini skirt from the same line, but, try matching it with straight leg trousers or denim for an authentic approach. Adding a statement necklace is another way to incorporate your own style.

Below: Clearly classic, this 100% silk white button up-by Equipment takes a washed-up wardrobe staple and turns it into an innovative fashion must have. Fairly forgiving in nature, there are many ways to pair this top with pieces from your existing wardrobe. A pencil skirt, denim, wide or straight-legged trousers (to name a few) will all compliment the shirt well.

Below: Snakeskin is always in! Elizabeth & James have it right with this sheer slouch top. It’s great because of its instant versatility. You can dress it up with trousers or leather shorts (as shown). The ribbed cuffs and hem give a sporty feel, so you can also make it a bit more casual with denim.

Below: This peasant dress by Halston Heritage has metallic threading that amplifies its texture. The elastic waistband gives shape and the neckline is adjustable so you can show as much or little shoulder as you’d like. Carry a gold clutch for a glamorous affect.

Below: Taking its lead from the scarf dress, this James & Joy mini ensemble is fresh and forgiving (hiding any mid-section worries). Have fun with this bold look by adding a purple pump.

Below: This black knit mini dress is a poetic piece by James & Joy. With flowing sleeves and a banded elastic neckline, this dress is perfect for fashion on the go! Slip it on in the morning and you can take this look from an early morning meeting to a late afternoon baby shower.

Below: For the sophisticated lady with a little edge, Black Halo has designed this wine colored sheath. Along with peekaboo shoulder slits the structured seams allow for a modern aesthetic. This dress is an awesome approach to pulling off this trend at work. Classic black pumps and studs are all the accessories you will require.

Below: Boulee’s sleek and sexy white mini dress is a sure-fire way to turn heads. Confidence is key in wearing this style of dress, and so keep it simple!  Add a pair of gold sandals and simple earrings to dress to impress.

Below: A black waterfall hemline dress by Heather combines comfort and style. The high rounded neckline, exposed shoulders and quarter length sleeves are incredibly chic. Try pairing this dress with booties! You can add tights to this look for the cooler months ahead.
