Want a coastal color that will transition well into fall? Try Yellow! Lemon or Sunglow, select your shade and update your wardrobe with a few basics from this luminous color group. Solange Knowles has great eye for style, and is a fashion trendsetter that we adore. Take notes on how she transitions from easy going to glam and rocks this hot hue.

Below: (Left) Solange pairs a long pleated skirt with a cropped corset-top for an easy going chic appeal. The leather belt and turquoise bag contrast beautifully against the yellow. A long skirt can be dressed up or down and is a great addition to your late summer wardrobe. (Center) The paired simple shell top and short A-line skirt are fun and playful; the sea-foam pumps add a little sass. (Right) Solange sports a yellow blazer coupled with black shorts and black and white sandals (a great date night ensemble!)  Her combinations of yellow, black, and white are daring, yet classic at the same time.

Also of note are the clashing lipstick colors that come with each outfit. Clashing colors and patterns are going to be all over this Fall.

Below: (Left) Knowles is all polished up in a muted yellow waterfall hemline dress with a high neckline and pleats. Adding a colored clutch is a great way to make a statement while keeping your look simple and fresh. (Center) This gown works so well on Solange because it compliments her body type. The fabric treatment on her waist is called a ‘peplum.’ Peplums are hot this Fall, so keep an eye out for skirts, blouses and many other garments with these timeless flairs. (Right) If you prefer a preppier look, you’ll like this last ensemble. Solid colored pant-suits are not just for the runway! Both women’s and men’s wear designers are loving bright colored suits right now. The gold chain and neutral stilettos allow the yellow suit take the spotlight.
